An updated guide to enable JCV, Highway Mode, Lane assist & TTS on 2x5w

I made the conversion on Garniak.pl on my 255w. All good is only the software 3.21 and in vain upgrade to Express 4.20 only after the old 3.21 remains / professionally unmounted.
It's just that the date isn't right.
I read there that after loading the 4.20 software it will only reach the Garmin logo and will become a door prop. If my 255w does it with what you wrote, don't I have to worry about it?

It won't brick if you use the hybrid firmware properly but don't do anything until I can get some more complete information from you or you might well end up with a doorstop! Now the v3.21 reference is making sense to me, you've used Pouch-X's firmware. You should have mentioned that you'd already converted your device to nuvi 465T, that information is absolutely crucial as are now your answers to the following:

Have you done a FULL conversion to HWID 0943? Please advise. (To be certain, check the HWID with G7ToWin or otherwise as detailed here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]).
Did you change the 2x5W logo to a 465T logo by re-flashing region 16 or not?

Yes, I've installed the Pouch-X firmware in the past, it worked, but the world clock and calendar were a problem. Could not upgrade to 4.20. But thank you, as I have described. I was the first to restore it to the old 255w. Then I followed the description. Everything works beautifully now! Full version 4.20 is up. Even at start, 465 appears under the logo.

Digression:
The HWID 0943 has been changed, the time and date are accurate, the display automatically switches between day and night!
Can 245w be done that way?

Yes it can provided it's got HWID 0827. However from my unclear recollection 245W was a dressed-down model with some missing features? Maybe it didn't support TTS (Text to Speech) which means no street names for upcoming turns. If that's so then it may need to have the senior 2x5W logo flashed to it or even the specific 465T logo. That's easy to do via a bin file and update.txt command on SD card if required. Read here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

Hi everyone!
Out of curiosity, I converted the 255w to JCV capable software, but all was successful, but unfortunately the City Navigator Europe 2020.10 NT map does not display the motorway exit view. I'm happy to be able to revert to HWID 0827. 465 truck version remains ...

Unfortunately, my 255w also converted to 2W!

The solution does not help return to the original 255W software unfortunately!

Hello everyone!
I need help! I experimented until the "white death" reached 255w! I reinstalled the SG / MY firmware. After the restart, only the Chinese loader image will be reached, the map load caption will appear below and exit. When I plug in my PC, it restarts and the white screen flashes up ... I tried to unpack 2x5, 2x5W and 2x5MTK, 2x5Wmtk.rar on my SD card, and unsuccessfully! Can I still bring it back somehow?Please help !

So it seems you flashed the complete SG/MY firmware did you? If so you've changed the HWID to 0930.

What RAR file did you unpack to SD? Supply a link to it please.

"When I plug in my PC, it restarts and the white screen flashes up" I don't know if you mean it does that trying to connect to PC in (i) Mass Storage Mode, or (ii) preboot or (iii) both. If it's to be recovered it must at least be able to enter preboot. Can it?

Answer all those questions above please and also give any other info likely to be relevant. If you want help with this it's essential to know exactly what's been done and how it's now behaving.

Hi!
So far I've come:
14. Verify that you have CHN v2.90 installed.
15. Delete the GUPDATE.GCD from the garmin folder of your unit.
16. You have enabled TTS on your unit.
by the time all the software was in good control, started up. Then, before I got off the PC, I mumbled the Hungarian voice. It may have been a problem because last time I first tried it, I didn't do it and it only worked with the EU map, the JCV didn't appear.
Now when I turned on only the chinese loading image appears underneath the nuvi 2W and the map loading caption then exits. When I plug in my PC it turns off and on but only eddug gets what I wrote.

i found the 255w sd card boot file i was trying to copy to sd to boot but was unsuccessful.

So:
I updated it based on the first description.
When turned on, a white display flashes and then reaches the status shown in the picture and turns off. Plugged into a PC turns on and off and the laptop does not recognize it.

Updated to HWID 0930.
The software CHN v2.90 is installed.
I checked and it worked. I plugged in my PC.
I deleted the GUPDATE.GCD file and copy the Hungarian speech file. I started it and it only reaches the status shown in the picture and then turns off.
