if i i download china's basemap, i gonna remove world's basemap? or both can be shared together on same folder?

No, cause Garmin only recognizes gmapbmap.img as Basemap. Two of them not possible.

Great, this is usefull. I got question here, why dont have map that have all around the world?? so on need to upload map whenever go to other country...

Cause Garmin doesn't release a map for "around" the world.

basemap garmin world routable

a world routable basemap has all the earths -- city's, highway's and ferry's -and will autoroute anywhere-
except across bodys of water without ferry service--

on your gps --if you browse to a destination thousands of miles away from where you are and click go- the basemap will autoroute you from the nearest highway-at you present location to the place on a highway closest to your destination---

if you have a detailed autoroute map also installed (like CNNA) it will use the detailed map -for the areas it covers then the basemap to autoroute you thru areas that the detailed map doesn't cover-

if you are using topo's only -and if they are non-routable---a world routable basemap will give them a routable form..

The main reason for slowness of basemap is DEM data. DEM is responsible for about 2/3 of basemap size. GPS receiver uses DEM to make map shadings, which looks nice, but quit often leads to less readable view.

One can remove DEM data from basemap using gmaptool.
