Downloaded the "Complete Package" listed in post #1 and the gmapprom.img file is located in a directory with the unit ID for the user who shared this release.
Would recommend to remove the links and alter the download content to be anonymous.

Also compared this "gmapprom.img" with my previous "Aus_NZ_Navteq_2013_10.img" for a nüvi 3790 that I've downloaded from Garmin some days ago. They are identical and I'm not sure if there is a "Truckies Map" in that file.

Garmin transitions map provider in Australia and New Zealand-

Garmin has today announced that it will transition its map provider for the majority of its nüvi range of Personal Navigation Devices (PNDs) to NAVTEQ from February 2012. Garmin PNDs in Australia and New Zealand released from next month will join the majority of Garmin’s global PND range that already trust NAVTEQ as a map provider.

All Garmin nüvi models released from February 2012 onwards in Australia and New Zealand will be manufactured with NAVTEQ maps onboard. Garmin’s fitness, outdoor and marine ranges will remain unchanged.

This is good news for those of us who are AU map users on a daily basis. I have been unhappy with Telstra/Sensis/WhereIs maps for sometime, at the risk of repeating myself. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Moreover, when talking 'model release', a manufacturer/supplier is generally meaning 'the introduction of a new model to the range', and not the continuing manufacture of any existing model. So you haven't been dudded this time Schermann, if you take their announcement at face value:

It means imo that all current Nuvis will still have the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] preloaded and will not be offered the new Navteq map as part of the one-off map upgrade after purchase. We can safely assume it's a different story after the next Navteq release. It's all in the semantics of course.

The Navteq maps for Australia are and at present are only released for these 2 units Nuvi 465T & dezl 560LT when it comes to garmin
it has taken well over 12 months since the release of the dezl 560LT here that updates have even started
the 465t had no updates for quite a while after it was first released here

I use the dezl 560LT for work as i drive roadtrains around Australia but unfortunately the trucking gps and data supplied in the navteq maps is miles away from been of
any real comfort while driving anything other then a utility around oz

The only part of the map that seems to work the best is when you set your profile to dangerous goods
it will then guide you onto the dangerous goods routes in all major cities around australia
and the high wind area warnings work well as do narrow road warnings

But if you drive a b-double or semi trailer or even a roadtrain the units will still navigate you down the wrong roads
and won't take you along heavy vehicle town bypass's etc or even keep to main roads that are b-double or roadtrain approved
instead taking you on lots of none approved road
