How to use your Nokia phone as GPS receiver with Garmin Mobile PC
Install this application :Symarctic ExtGPS for s60v3/5
Symarctic ExtGPS allows you to share phone's built-in GPS module to laptop via Bluetooth. It is mainly targeted for Nokia N95, E90, 6110 Navigator handsets, allowing you to use existing, more sophisticated GIS applications. Free for personal, non-commercial use.
Connecting ExtGPS to Microsoft Windows
Before you can use ExtGPS in your Windows applications, you need to connect it using a Bluetooth serial port. Here are the instructions for Windows Vista, using the built-in Bluetooth stack. In Windows XP , the process is similar, but depends on the Bluetooth stack your system is using.
First, you need to make sure you have Bluetooth enabled on your S60 phone, start ExtGPS and accept both security dialogs (for positioning and Bluetooth connectivity).
Now, open Bluetooth devices from Vista's Control Panel. Click Add to add your phone, if it's not already visible. Here's my S60 phone, already paired:
Then chances are you already paired the device before (as I did) so we need to make sure ExtGPS service is used. Open properties and check services tab: Serial port (SPP) 'Symarctic ExtGPS' should be checked.
After clicking Ok, COM Ports tab should show the port used:
(By default, Vista also creates incoming serial port (in case the device itself creates connection). As ExtGPS does not make connections by itself, you can delete that port.)
The GPS connection is now ready to be used. Depending on your GPS software, you might need to know that COMx number, though modern applications also show the port names.
Connecting GPS software to now configured serial port should start positioning on the S60 device.
1. Install extGPS
2. Open extGPS
3. Turn on BT on your comp, add connection for your PC BT, you should have Serial port (SPP) 'Symarctic ExtGPS' as an option
4. disconnect them
5. open your PC based GPS application & search / add GPS receiver. GPS bluetooth option on some program need to be activated / choose manually.
6. voila >>>> u should see a remote GPS receiver
now you can have GPS access with a ship radar screen

Will this work with Samsung Galaxy ACE or only with Nokia phones.
Your Samsung is Android OS. This app is built for Symbian S60 OS. So, no it won't work.

It will only work on Symbian 60 Nokia Phones,
No it will not work on Samsung Galaxy or even Other Nokia Phones.

Honestly I have not tried that procedure, but I think you will have to follow it with care ... as that part of the procedure for BT regards the PC/Notebook...non smartphone.
The port serial,is virtual,no hardware...assigned by the SO/PC>Notebook
In the coming days you feel I can be with my Laptop, just back from assistance
Bye,bye
