Thanks, works on the computer, but I can't unlock to my Garmin Unit... GPSMAP 76S. Any ideas? Once transferred GPS unit says: Can't Unlock maps.

gmap is pc version, copy in proper directory on pc, unlock gmap ,start a patched Mapsource, send img to pc ,unlock with gimgunlock, copy in device

Did all that, my only concern is how to transfer the unlocked ,img to device. I usually transfer the maps with mapsource or mapinstall... The unit doesn't have a SD Card...

Garmin GPSMAP 76S connected via RS232.

the GPSMAP 76S can only communicate via the Garmin Protocol... i.e. no USB drivers, so I can't see it as a folder. So I don't think I can run gimgunlock on it !

Am I understanding this correctly? If so, is there another way to send an .img file to the unit. Or can I specifically ask Mapsource or Mapinstall to send the unlocked .img fils ?

if you run [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
in C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps\TrakMaps Marine.gmap
img sent to device will be unlocked in your device.

Ok ! So on the original post, the unlocked folder did not work for me, once I unlocked the locked gmap folder with the link given 2 posts up ! Bingo !

WOW... thank Québec 001, merci !!! It works just fine...no need to unlock. I transfered it on my GPS (SD Card) directly, and it is perfect... thanks for your good work, we all appreciate it for sure, merci encore à toi !
