For 'eavens sake. It's a gorgeous map, but they managed to use old road data! Data, which they changed on their Navteq maps 2 versions ago already. Mymymy how disappointing.

New situation CNEU 2014.20.

Old situation still on Topo NL Pro.
The new situation is in use since about 1 year already. Makes me wonder about the accuracy (up-to-dateness) of the rest of the map.
A personal observation about topos generally. They are not primarily for road navigation, and are much less likely to be kept up to date than dedicated street maps. Also they can be flaky for road navigation especially in the city. They will even try to route you onto roundabouts the wrong way in some rare cases, so best only use them for city driving if you absolutely have to. No one should expect a City Navigator to be much use in the bush either.

Neil, "I hear ya", and I know that. But I still find it quite annoying to discover such inaccuracies on a brand new map. It seriously makes me wonder how accurate (old) the details of the POI's are.
I partly agree with Neil, but after several experience with GARMIN devices and their maps I came to the conclusion that
1. GARMIN's left hand does not know what the right hand actually does (meaning, that hardware and several software teams do not coordinate their work, even not for ONE single country)
2. ALL GARMIN guys are forced to produce new maps and devices for sale and this way making maximum profit (e.g. making&selling parallel BELUX, Netherlands and BENELUX Topo Pro maps during a period of only 3 months, one only BENELUX would be enough, IMHO)
3. GARMIN lets the users/buyers make the beta-testing of devices and maps for them, they may change everything (or NOTHING) after customers input.
4. Unfortunately, there is no serious way to avoid GARMIN devices and/or maps, especially concerning Topo maps and outdoor activities, so we only can hope, that GARMIN is learning by doing, and this hopefully asap.
Sorry for OT, if any.

Here is (about) the same area from the paper topo map of the Netherlands 25k.
I would say that it resembles the new Topo map rather than the CN map...
which means that the Garmin Topo map reflects the old situation, just like the actual available paper topo map does.
Garmin cannot be blamed for this one, IMHO
