Using TMC in Garmin nuvi for free

How about trying to enter the provider NAVTEQ Traffic (BR) in the firmware?

I don't know if this change anything, becouse i can't find int, sid, cc in FW

Do you know some user from Brazil, who buy TMC subscription for Brazil over my garmin and can share unlock key?
We can then find fid,pid... for Brazil.

Loly, this was our great hope when Garmin launched the Traffic in Brazil. As an official signature at hand would be easy to deduce the parameters, but the path was more tortuous and only learned to deduce the parameters from a tip given by Giomen

Garmin never sold subscriptions alone here. It comes integrated with a cable GTM 26 or 36 along with some new gps models. Only recently Garmin started selling the cable (GTM35) singly gps, with the official subscriptions. Certainly we have some peculiarity in the transmitted codes and signature, since it's a new system and penetration of Garmin was quite restricted. Such limitations and restrictions must not be present in Europe and the United States due to the need to maintain compatibility with large amount of "old" devices..

So if understend correct, with this GTM26 TMC work OK on nuvi 1300 in Brazil?
Why do you have beside map link 11/a2/0/13 and 1001 11/a2/7/15 ?

Are old pictures. MapLink was another signal provider tmc of other manufacturers, causing interference in the receivers Garmin, but no longer operates in my town and probably in the whole country. It is noticed that are two signatures with different pids. The because of official signature 11/a2/7/15 is a question that only Garmin can answer, for now. This is because the tune always starts from the parameters 11/a2/7/14. Perhaps a future bandwidth, who knows the digital HD traffic.. The GTM 26/36 with official signature works with any model of Garmin 1xxx and higher. I understood that you wanted to check as is shown the official signature to try and help on the solution of the problem in the operation of traffic in 3 digits Nuvis . The signature jetmouse works ok in gtm 25, 35 (all models 1xxx and above) and gtm26, 36 (with jetmouse), only in 1xxx models and higher with firmware earlier 2012 (37xx, 24x0, 25x0...) The why has already been demonstrated in other topics.

Hi guys, do you know how to use the Navsat Traffic service in Costa Rica?, I'm able to see it in the traffic screen, but I don't have the subscription or the ID.

Hi,

Just got a traffic receiver and am having problems getting it to work. OK - I got it from fleabay. Unit is a Nuvi 2445 and the receiver is a GTM25. Plug it into the unit and car outlet, let it lock on to the satellites and give it a destination. Then I go into settings / traffic/ and the message is "A traffic receiver accessory is required to receive live traffic updates". I've tried turning it off and on several times but still the same - it won't recognise the receiver is there.

I like in the UK, and the receiver is supposed to be US/Canada (going there in the summer - reason I've got this unit) and AFAIK the GTM25 should work with my 2445.

Is the unit compatible, and how can I get it to work??? Thanks
