connect your phone usb -transfer mode and copy your pois in poi folder
enable them in garmin settings
I've been using the Garmin Mobile XT symbian s60 v5.00.60 on my new n97 and its working great but I haven't been able to use the custom poi such as speedcam etc...
I've tried everything, putting it in the Garmin/poi folder directly, using webupdater etc but it doesn't work I've even put the v5.00.50 with no results... does any one have the same problem?

You have to navigate to get to the good.
Galaxy S5 Kitkat 4.4.2 / Nuvi1200->1250 / Nuvi3790T->34xx / Nuvi 2200 / Nuvi 66 / Oregon 600
I did that but when I go into the Poi extras it states that there are no extra poi installed...
have they the right extension ?
if yes probably you have overwritten old pois, rename new ones in another way

Are they listed in "Manage my Data" -> Custom Poi Sets?
I find them under "Where to" -> "Extras" -> Custom POI's
catymag,
Yes they have the right extension and the Garmin XT program installation program is flawless because using it I manage to install it on 2 other Nokia phones, one a N95 and the other E72 and on them the same poi file works!

Regarding your questions, YES, they are listed in "Manage my Data" -> Custom Poi Sets? (F:\Garmin\poi\POI.GPI) but NO I can' find them under "Where to" -> "Extras" -> Custom POI's, I get the message "None Found. For details please visit the garmin site...
"Settings -> Proximity Points -> Custom POI Sets are Enabled, as Garmin Safety Cameras are Enabled, Audio Notification is on Continuous - All Alerts"
u must import them...
settings, manage my data, manage (is tab under on the screen), gpx import

superg,
I understand you must import gpx data such as waypoints, routes etc... but poi is a gpi not gpx, anyway it was one of the first things I've tried and I doesn't work, even if I manage to import waypoints, etc... just one question...
In which memory did you install your garmin, main in the C: Phone memory, E: Mass memory or F: microSD?
Rgds
I did it... In order to make Poi work in n97mini you have to install it drive E: Mass memory, if you install it in the drive F:microSD it won't access the data.... now its working!!!!
