Default How to put bluechart g2 canada maps on a Garmin Oregon 400t

I was wondering if anyone could help me with putting the bluechart g2 canada maps on my Garmin Oregon 400t. I have read lots of post and have downloaded lots of software, but I still can not figure it out. I have download some bluechart g2 canada maps already (gmapsupp it said it was unlocked, there was 3 parts to it, used winrar to make all 3 parts into 1 file gmapsupp.img) Now, I am not sure what next. I have mapsource, fast img unlocker, home port, mapsettoolkit, and well I am very lost. Any step by step help for the GPS would be great.

    buy an sd
create in sd a folder named Garmin and copy the unlocked gmapsupp img into it (one img per sd)
you'll be able to see it in your unit-
Or insert the sd in your pc to see it in Homeport
    Mapsource cant see bluechart g2
No Safety Shading and/or Fishing Charts in Oregon are available

Thank you for the reply. LOL I was doing it right all along, it wasn't my gps so I didn't even notice that the map had been put on there already. But thank you for you help. One question I would have is...you said 1 map per sd card, is there a way to put multiple maps on 1 sd?

I think you can put multiple maps in your sd Garmin directory ,renaming them to avoid overwriting but keeping the .img extension for any map.Just rename the gmapsupp.IMG to Somethingmoredescriptive.img

Thank you again for you response. So if an SD has a Blucharts map, can it have other regular maps on it? or is it one bluecharts on an sd and then nothing else. Sorry for the questions. Never played around with GPS so I really don't know much about it. This forum and your knowledge about GPS makes it quick and convenient for me to ask my questions. Sorry if they are simple ones.

Hello. I own an Oregon 300.

8 Gb micro sdhc card with:

    - CN europe (2 Gb).
    - Topo map (2 Gb).
    - Bluechart g2 (2 Gb).

    Can see all maps.

But at the moment i not able to see the fish chart of bluecharts maps. This is a bad problem actually. The aerial images of G2 are unuseful in the oregon 300. I would like to deactivate them.

An good advice: you can rename the files with easy to remenber names; "CN2010.img" for example. Don't need to be called gmabmap.img...gmapprom.img...

Well, i found the way to see the fishing charts. Great.

In Homeport there are two charts: the nautical and the fishing.

In my Oregon 300 since i installed the G2 there is a new menu option: setup--->marine--->marine chart mode.. It lets me choose between nautical, fishing or off.

Now i only need to disable the satellite images...anyone knows if that thing is possible?
