You need to enable "Show hidden files, folders and drives" in Windows Explorer and look for the ".System" directory.
Files and directories that begins with a dot are hidden in UNIX and Linux that uses this dot-prefix standard.
Hi,
I have a nuvi 1490T with the europe 2011.20 map preinstalled. This map takes a lot of space in the nuvi memory (I have 460mb free). I wanted to load a different map but there was not enough space. I noticed then that I could not find the map anywhere in the folders of the nuvi. It must have been installed in a secret directory which I can't find.
I could use a card but 1. I don't have a card of that size and 2. I would like to see where the map is. Is there a tool to handle such cases?

Thanks for the reply. Lame of me I should have thought of that. I would like to ask about the .gma file inside the map folder. Iread that it is a new kind of garmin map validation method. But since removing it doesn't make any difference what is the point of having it anyway?
