GMAP3D for version 2012.20 in 3790 series

if 3D map is really unlocked (check it with Gmaptool) try also to delete any other .gma in nuvi (after backup on pc)-
Which firmware do you have in your nuvi?

Yes the gmap3d was unlocked with Fast IMG Unlocker 2.1.

If I back up my GPX folder will all my Favourites and settings be saved?

How do I check with the Gmaptool. I can see how to add the img file and can see that there is a tab "Detail", but what info am I looking for to confirm that it is unlocked?

I am using firmware 4.30

.

I usually dont post unlocked IMGs, if it's mine it's locked

After updating sw ,it's better to hard reset devices, back up your settings and reset it if it acts strange-

OK but I am just trying to understand what I am looking for in the Gmaptool that tells me the IMG is unlocked. I unlocked your locked gmap3d using Fast IMG Unlocker the same way as I have done before with other updates with no problems in the past.

I have just used Gmaptool on the gmap3d.img I used Fast IMG Unlocker on.

The files state "transparent". So it must be unlocked.

Ok , your 3D map is unlocked , but I just noticed a mistake in your sd directories

Br47E

"Map" folder must go in sd root
Your folder in sd is named "map", the right name is "Map" with M in capital letter, try to rename it correctly.
Path must be R:/ Map/*.img
directories must be named respecting Capital letters,
Garmin one too.

To check it was not the card I put the files from the SD card into the Garmin/system folder. Still no joy.

Anyway if you tried to copy files directly in Nuvi/.System ,Nuvi should show up them both,
sorry I've no other ideas.

Well you have certainly helped a lot and to you and the others who have posted I am very grateful.

I have learnt a lot

A reset of the unit seems to have done the trick as the gmap3d is now working probably.
