Default Garmin Nuvi 67LM : unable to unlock maps

    I'm desperate...

I can't find a way to use the unlocked maps available for download (CN North America NT 2017.30 for example)

I tried to downgrade the firmware.

I tried the Universal Firmware Patcher for Protected Garmin Devices, but i can't get to pre-boot mode (none of the methods works and entering the hidden pages by pressing and holding the battery symbol and then connecting the USB lead gets me to pre-boot for 2 seconds, then it disconnects and the updater is unable to work properly).

I even tried gimgunlock-0.03+MapSigPatch applied to the already unlocked maps.

    Please help!!!

You should keep desperate because you're joining GPSPower at a very wrong moment of its life.

Very soon it will be unuseful to use Universal Firmware Patcher for Protected Garmin Devices because you won't find copyrighted stuff on this forum anymore.
Read forum rules for that !

As far as I'm concerned I didn't have any issue to use Universal Firmware Patcher on my Nüvi 68 LM.

1- Copy updater.exe file and .rgn file into a same folder.

2- Drag and drop .rgn file on updater.exe to open Updater.

3- Tick USB in opening window.

4- Connect USB cable on Nüvi and press upper left screen corner.

5- Connect USB on computer while keeping pressure on upper felft screen corner.

6- As soon as GPS name appears on updater window (don't be afraid if Nüvi 57 appears instead of Nüvi 67), tick "OK" , still keeping pressure on screen.

7- Keep pressure on screen during all flash processing (20 to 30 seconds) up to Updater displays "Success".

For your nuvi 67 and similar units, foursquare files are located into:
    <InternalPath>\.System\Map\*.img
    <InternalPath>\.System\SID\*.sid
    Code:

    Thank you!

I have all those additional things:
    CN North America NT 2017.30_SID
    CN North America NT 2017.30_JCV
    CN North America NT 2017.30_gmap3d_un
    CN North America NT 2017.30_g2s_sql_gpi
    CN North America NT 2017.30_Foursquare
and you never really know where you should put them on the SD card (and keep the folders inside or not).

I tried to follow what's indicated on the forum but i guess it depends on the GPS unit...

Thank you again to be so kind!

May i ask why there won't be copyrighted stuff on this forum anymore?

All valid paths are in the file GarminDevice.xml of your device.

you also have to delete the gupdate file from internal memory. I've tried without deleting it, the device doesnt work normal
