    Default Power cable - USB to Garmin

    I have been searching for a cable to power my Garmin in car.

    My current power cable plugs into a cigar lighter port and connects to the windscreen sucker pad holding the garmin.

    The image shows the plug used in the Garmin holder.

    I have searched for a USB to this plug without joy, can only find Cigar lighter to this plug.

    I have tried using a USB to mini USB, but the Garmin shows as connected to a PC and will not run any Maps etc.

    Anyone know of a cable USB to the Garmin plug in the image

    @wlodekwbw
    He's already got a 12v ciggy to 5v 18pin charger. What he wants is a 5v USB to 18pin plug cable.

    @gpskid
    I don't think it exists unless you make it yourself.

    Good one FireFox58 the 4th one from the top may just be right. Cheap too, worth a go.

    If he's not trying to connect to his computer maybe he should look one that plugs into an AC power outlet and is for 12v. Something like this. I use one to power my Garmins when I don't need to connect them to my computer.

    This also works if you use a Powerbank and a Garmin USB cable

    I also tried this with a smartphone charger.

    It first goes into into the wrong mode but if you push the power button one time it comes up as a working GPS unit.

    I hope this helps
