It should be selected in "Manage My Data" -> "Map Sets" -> "MapSource"

the maps are activated from the map source option. and i have removed the 10.0 version of the maps. btw they had the same problem. cant figure out whats wrong. could it be something to do with the EN language? maybe its just not there for thailand? plz help!
btw. really appreciate the rapid response here.
i have the above device.
may i know which version of the software should i use?
if i try to load all 4, would there be any damage to my device?
and do i need to install thai route base map ?
newbie here
Thailand Streetmap 10.1 - Thai- ->means-->Thailand Map in Thai language.
Thailand Streetmap 10.1 JCV - Thai --> means--> Junction view files for detailed map above
-----------------------
Thailand Streetmap 10.1 - English- ->means-->Thailand Map in Eng language.
Thailand Streetmap 10.1 JCV - Eng --> means--> Junction view files for detailed map above (but all signs are in Thai language , not Eng.)
---------------------
Map in Thai language need Thai font in your device., need Thai keyboard for search function.,
---------------------
For Nuvi 1490 :: is not support both jcv files.
---------------
Thai route base map is useful for zoom out function (No Thai route basemap--> your nuvi still work.)
-------------------------
You can upload both version to your Nuvi and it will be fine.

Only A Thai unit can run a Thai keyboard
Only a Thai unit can run JVC's
Version 10.1 still has problems ( if you take a none Thai unit to ESRI in Bangkok) they will only sell you version 9, STILL.
Yes there are exceptions, my friend has a unit from Malaysia Nuvi 765 and it runs JVC's when he uses the Thai version 10.1
Lets hope version 11 redresses all these and other issues, but as its Thai I doubt it
Happy it sunny Thailand
