    Gday Mate,

    very interested in this... but ive not seen a typ file *anywhere* to replace! there is only one IMG and some other "helpful" files in the rar.

    Even when I get this installed in Basecamp there is still no TYP file.

    Puzzled.

    @cnschultz
    Maybe you are thinking of a gmap folder? This is a fully complied image file which may be viewed in BC as the MS flag is set to zero. Why do you want to replace or modify the TYP file in any case?

    Oh, I found it... One step in the process I didnt need was deleting it. You dont need to use MapSetToolkit... just replace the TYP after running a split.

    Reason for change? It looks totally awesome with the new TYP! Thanks to the OP.

    Unauthenticated:
    Installs OK with GmapTool. Changed typ for great color saturation.
    Displays OK with Basecamp401Patched.
    Using MapInstall401Patched: send ok to SD;
    Create gmapsupp.unl with correct MapID and UnitID as usual.
    When starting Oregon200(4.20): Unauthenticated

    I tried gimgunlock but only get a quick flash of the Run Window, run as Admin Win7_64
    Finally got it to work: Drag your gmapsupp.img over gimgunlock.exe and a RunWindow will open and unlock the image..
    Easiest if you have two directories open with gmapsup.img and gimgunlock.exe.
    Thanks, (The Typ file is part of the folder created by GmapTool: replace it with the posted one.)
    If this helped you: click the Star below..

    Am I missing something?
    @HaroldGPS
    Later firmwares for most units invoke the gma protection which makes unlock codes by themselves useless for the devices, i.e. the map can be 'unlocked' (partly) with an unlock code, but it is still 'Not Authenticated'. BC can read 'locked' images of course. The only way to overcome the gma protection is to use an unlocker on the image file, either [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] or [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

    EDIT: Just noticed your Edit beneath the pic .. lol. Yes, gimgunlock always works best by dragging & dropping the image onto it.
