Caty, excuse my ignorance but how do you display the Bluechart G2 in homeport like you did in post 2?
I tried with the gmapsupp image on my desktop but couldnt get homeport to find it (homeport only displays my list of older non vision 2008 bluecharts installed on the PC), or do you have to have the G2 vision chart on a SD card for Homeport to work?

I've done that but although Homeport now sees it in Devices/GPSMap750S UK), I cant open it.

select it on your unit collection , right click ,show map

I also opened this map in Homeport, but when I go to the same region as shown (Liverpool) I don't get as much detail as Catymag. What am I doing wrong?
In the log I see that this map is transparant. What are the consequences if I want to use this map in a plotter?

I think BC has several layers and only some of them are transparent-
Try to put details at MAX

Hi
Is there any way too enable printing for this chart in Homeport??
Or do i have too convert the chart for Mapsource??

Some maps have printing restrictions the only way is this
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
read on official Garmin forum :
Garmin does not make their own maps. They buy map data from a variety of providers. Some of these providers give the data to Garmin on condition that users can't print it. They want these users to buy printed maps separately.

Hi all
I am a newbie here so firstly "HELLO"
I do not have any Garmin Equipment, all i want to do is use my laptop to view marine charts.
I have downloaded the 10 rar files and extracted them which gives me a file called gmapsupp.img
I downloaded Homeport. I have 'Global Map' How do i manage to use the img file with Homeport?
I tried import, but that doesn't work as i think it is looking for a different filename.
Can anyone please help me.

BTW I used to use Mapsource BlueChart which was easy as all i had to do was install to my laptop and it worked 1st time but that was a few years ago.
