GMapTool shows that this is a g2 chart, as the Mapset name is "Garmin Lakes g2" V 2.00 MapID 2568.
But since it also shows "F: PID 0, FID 0, HUS600R", you'd think this Mapset would be named "HUS600R-Garmin Lakes g2" based on previous g2 charts.
For some reason I can't get HomePort to show this chart img locked or unlocked (but it works fine in a GPS).
The attached .rar file below contains a .dlc container file of the links in the OP.
Extract it and run either JDownloader or CryptLoad, then drag the extracted .dlc file into either program window.
BTW, I got the best download speed from the crocko.com links (only @ 100K though).
I have the exact same problem. I D/L the 15 parts and extracted them and used Fast Image Unlocker on the IMG.
I loaded the IMG onto a Micro SD card and tried to get it to show using Homeport AND I tried Basecamp too. No Luck
As Homeport or Basecamp try to read the IMG off of the card, there is a Progress status bar that show green at first and after about 1/2 thru, the progress status bar turns red and that's the end of it.
Thinking that maybe the FIU didn't work, I loaded the Locked image figuring that I would just get some sort of "Can't Unlock Map" message.
But the same thing ocurred with the status bar. Green... then red... and nothing.
I also tried downloading all 15 parts again thinking maybe one of the parts was corrupt in the d/l process. But there was still the same result.
I have not tried putting the card uinto my Montana 650t yet... but I'll do that next.
It's VERY weird that HomePort and Basecamp won't read the IMG but it works in the GPS.
I'll post back and let you know if it works in my Montana.

Interesting..... I too have tried placing the card into my Montana and, just as WknThDg experienced..... the g2 Lakes chart showed up and appeared to display properly.
Now why in the world did it not work in Homeport of Basecamp ?
This is a mystery. And, unfortunately, beyond my knowledge.
I would think if Garmin has put some other new method of blocking/locking on the card, it would have given me a "Can't Unlock Maps" message at the very least.
This is quite an easy one for me. I like challenges.
1 - Unlock using Fast IMG Unlocker or similar. My copy still has locked images.
2 - Open the .img file with GMapTool
3 - In GMapTool > Write > Set Transparency = transparent > Write All
4 - Copy the new US_GarminLakes_Full.img to the \Garmin folder on a USB thumb drive.
5 - Open Garmin HomePort - The mapset now appears as "Garmin Lakes g2"

Thanks!
BTW... no need to unlock for HomePort use, but if I do, Fast IMG Unlocker does unlock all images for me.
Setting the transparency with GMapTool was the only step I needed for HomePort to display this particular chart.
Having to use GMapTool to do this should not be needed though.... an over-site on Garmin's part I guess.

Newbie here... followed the directions precisely (or so I thought). Downloaded, unlocked, moved .img file to the Garmin dir of my GPS with all of my other .img files, but when I go to enable/disable the map it's not there on the list. All the other maps I have are there though. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Edit:
I have the 62s and left the file name as is: US_GarminLakes_Full.img. I also tried to rename it to GarminLakes, but that still didn't work
