ASR1 was used initially by nuvi 8xx and then by the first 3790 units which also had non-U EU mapping data as OEM. When unicode EU was released, Garmin switched the 3790 EU oem mapping data to unicode. This was co-incidentally raised recently, here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

Please be careful with DEM map. There are a chance that you have got two Europe DEM map after update on proprietary devices. The one is old file and the two is D224900b.img. D224900b.img is the same as:

img is not gmapsupp.img but gmapprom.img. rename it ?
