I hope i'm bringing something new to the forum here. I use Garmin both on my symbian and also on my Nuvi 200w.
I find using Mapsource products much easier to use than separate image files. Here is something i found whilst looking to navigate around cyprus with. It is split into 2 files. Put both the files in a folder and unrar them. You'll end up with an executable file . Run it an it will install this map of cyprus in your Mapsource program so you can upload it to you phone or gps as you would with other mapsource maps.
It looks like work in progress to me but its the best i can find that works with mapsource. If you know better please write about it here. I don't have time to research stuff like this but if someone can find about it and post here it would be brilliant. Even if you only get more recent versions than the one here.
Please note you must already have mapsource installed on your system.
Have fun. I go to Cyprus in September so I hope to have the best available for my Nuvi from here as for some reason there isn't a commercial version available.

great job keep it up...
Hi again,
I'm not sure how I can give anymore information. Your suggestions above are excellent but I cant find a way to view them in the mapsource program.
If you are not familiar with the mapsource program. Please download and read this pdf file and have a look.

You will find you can plan routes and transfer maps you need as one file to your device. Much better than having several .img and .unl files on your device.
If you have found a way of putting your versions into mapsource I would love to hear how you do it.
Garmin devices such as the Garmin Nuvi range can only have 1 map .img file on there internal storage and 1 .img file on an optional SD memory card. Having several map files to join together and load onto the device is not impossible b ut not quick or user friendly.
Also with mapsource, you can plan a journey on your pc and transfer the route to your device. Hope all this is easy to understand. I'm sure all you SATNAV veterans understand what I mean..
Tanks again
Graham
PS Sorry I can not provide screenshots, I am on vacation and away from my symbian sync software.
