Post here please your help request regarding Garmin

Anyone who has the image files of TOPO Canada v4 for direct downloads? I have already downloaded mapsource version but its not working on my computer and would prefer image files by province or by part (i.e. Western). I have found some in the torrents but no seeders.

use search in maps section please, what we have is there

I managed to get a img file that is locked. I do not have the Map ID. How do I unlock and use it on my GMXT.

you cant unlock without mapid

Hi I have been on the Garmin Australia site to check updates available for my Nuvi 310 and they say City Navigator Australia 2010 is available. Was just wondering if anyone had it or new a link for the img.

Hi all, fairly new to the site but wondering if anyone would be able to assist. I just got a Garmin nuvi 255 and love it, it is a North American unit with CN North America NT 2010.10 loaded on the device.

I was interested in getting this map pack (The Garmin Asia Pacific 2009 (APAC Region), img file), I downloaded it successfully and planned to put it on a micro SD card that I have. On the micro SD I created a folder called Garmin and placed the downloaded file in this folder and renamed it to gmapsupp.img

When I put the micro SD card into my GPS and switch it on, it definitely detects the extra maps as it says "loading maps" and scrolls across on a status type bar. However after that it sits on the "Garmin" logo screen with the copywrite information at the bottom and does not proceed past that. As soon as I remove the micro SD card and reboot the GPS unit it loads as normal but of course only has the devices North American maps.

Hopefully this makes sense and I welcome any assistance, thanks!

I bet the collection you downloaded is "Unlocked". This won't work on Nuvis, so far my nuvi 765 doen't load unlocked maps

hi!

I have an english/dutch language version of Garmin installed, it also supports other major european languages. But now I have the chinese map and it doesn't work because it can't display the characters, and I can't input them either...

Does anyone know how to fix this? (for Windows Mobile?)

I already put Chinese.ttf in the garmin/fonts folder...but that didn't help

I can read chinese characters in email and SMS fine...
