Post here please your help request regarding Garmin

I have two questions.
First, I have problem with some IMGs when I use GMapTool 0.48.
The error message ask me to use -f
How to fix this problem ?
Second, Some IMGs are shifted nor in the right position. The Maps have some offset. How can I fix it ?

1Dont u have an error log? the fid was it right ?
2 offset is probably in China maps, but there's a version no offset, or probably depends on your device receiver

1. Some IMG I put the FID then I can compile it. But some IMG with multiple FIDs how can I deal with them ?

hi there!

i'm new at adding maps to my gps. i've got a garmin nuvi 255w and i just downloaded an unlocked europe map. i've extracted the gmapsupp.img file but it's way larger than my sd card.
i've also tried copying it directly to my garmin..but the file is still too large.

could someone please help me! =)

I was able to instal just the map for portugal. In case i want to add whole of europe..how can i do it if the file is bigger than what my gps can support?
