Thread: Streetpilot v2.36/v2.37 app release for Android 4.2.2 and later

Instructions

1. Download and Install the correct path apk for your device. (note: use SPPC 2.7 to edit path [Only registered and activated users can see links. ])
2. Download, Extract and Copy Garmin folder to your device appropriate path (link below in Note1)
3. Create Map folder inside Garmin folder and copy your maps there. (i.e. /storage/sdcard0/Garmin/Map/gmapsupp.img)
4. Run the app. It might crash on first launch, simply start it again.
5. Get in your car and start...
   

Note1: For Garmin folder and other voices get them from lolypop000 [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] For Maps [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Note2: If app always crashes or you get black/white screen, sorry, no fix yet. The device CPU/GPU could be incompatible. Try different Android version
if possible.

Note3: If you use Android Lolipop 5.0, Landscape view mode has a Display upside down bug. Try to upgrade to Android 5.0.1 or later, if can not, we can try make a special 5.0 version.


Note4: If Streetpilot crashes, you can try this work-around,

Warning

1. Maps compiled by CGPSMapper compiler often crash when calculating a route or recalculating a route, Garmin City Navigators work fine. A workaround here:
   [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
   
2. Volume: On some devices Volume must be managed by phone volume settings after starting SP.
   
3. Time settings not right?
   Solution: download [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and put it in the .System folder.
   
4. If you want JCV showing, you must use picture size 212*234 version split screen for 40/50 etc series.
   For CNE only NTU version provides it, so use CNE NTU if you want JCV working.
   SP acts like 34xx/37xx series so use addition files for 34xx/37xx.
   
5. All settings (Locales etc,) will be retained after you get satellites fix and Street Pilot gets the position after 2 runs.
   
6. GPS ON drains a lot of battery so, when you close SP close GPS too by hitting the backbutton and selecting "OK". Don't exit using your "Home" button.
   
7. If Backspace key don't work, try Swiftkey keyboard or Hackers keyboard known to work.

Download: Default path is: /storage/sdcard0/Garmin/, use [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] to edit path for your device.
