LMT doesn't matter on the firmware and it has no connection with the cameras alert. Cameras are in the folder POI in a separate files.

Ask someone in the Maps or POI section to upload his cameras from his nuvi or to help you with the camers. Best are the Cyclops.

Question when you have cured a device and it's being recognised by ccomputer can garmin Web updater be used to flash over the cure firmware?

When you use cure FW and you have mass storage access you must flash in pre boot also with original FW created with cure tool.
Webupdater can't overflash cure FW so you must flash in pre boot with original FW, if you don't do this, your nuvi will stuck on Garmin logo.

I'm stuck.... I got the cure to work, and my gps (Nuvi 255w) starts up... only problem is it doesn't appear to be able to read .img files (maps won't load; "no detailed maps found...."). So, I tried to update to official firmware, and no Garmin software worked for updating. Then I downloaded the software for my gps, from this website, and tried to use the updater method to flash it (going into preboot mode, installing it), and all's that got me is my gps being unable to load and being stuck in a boot loop again, so consequently I had to flash back to the cure. So now I'm sort of stuck with the cure firmware, which is able to start up and everything, but unable to read maps, so it's basically useless..... suggestions? Any help would be most appreciated

Normal it doesnt see .img

We have to change some values related to some extensions (.img .GCD .gpx .gpi .zip .vpm)
Why ? Coz one of these files prevents our nuvi to boot normally , changing the extension the firmware wont find the corrupted one anymore and will boot.

Cure doesnt see the corrupted files (.img .GCD .gpx .gpi .zip .vpm)
Remove the corrupted files who prevented your nuvi to boot, remove any gupdate,gcd in nuvi and then reflash original firmware with Updater.exe in preboot mode. Be sure to use the right one for your HWID.
At the end run Webupdater
