Nuvi 1300 stuck on garmin splash screen

hi all,

my garmin nuvi 1300 is stuck on the splash screen.
im not sure how i did it, but the last thing i remember doing to it was formatting the mass memory on my pc.

its on 4.60, ive followed the guide on here and made a cure.rgn (hexediting out the files etc) and used the updater in preboot mode, but still nothing.

any help would be appreciated.

Your PC see nuvi or not?
What number of nuvi do yu have?
After formating,do you have put back folders and how you format nuvi,in fat32?

my pc sees the satnav when it is put into preboot mode.
i have the nuvi 1300, hwid 972
after formatting, i didnt put anything back, and also i think it might have been when i formatted in mac (msfat) that i messed it up.
when i formatted in windows, the satnav still worked but obviously didnt have maps, but after formatting in mac, it stopped working.

SOmetimes MAC causes incorrect formating of FAT. Try to repeat the procedure by using windose based computer.

You should put all of folder back to your unit after formatted ( FAT32 ) ( including .system folder)
Hope you backed up all and your pc can see nuvi drive.

would have replied sooner, but i had thought it was a lost cause.

unfortunately, the satnav doesnt work in mass media mode atm.

cant format, as above, and i was silly enough not to back up.
pc only sees the satnav for around 30secs in preboot mode, long enough to apply a cure.rgn, thats all
