FINALLY MADE IT WORK! After experimenting things, I don't really know what's the real solution.. I just flashed it again, didn't return the GUPDATE.gcd and selected Singapore as Locale. Is it safe not to return back the original GUPDATE.gcd? Cause I think that's the one that makes it crash again after flashing FW.. Also, for future FW updates, do I still have to do those things all over again?

Yes., you need to make another .rgn file (as you have done) to use the other Ph 1360 firmware.
Your 1360 still be US unit. (Because hwid still be 972).

How do I make another .rgn file? Same process as you've mentioned before?

    4). Use RGN_Tool :: Load US boot.bin from1). , fw1_resources.bin from3). , fw_all.bin from2)

Tried doing this and saved it as GCUPDATE.gcd, loaded it into Garmin's .System, the unit almost bricked (I think)

It didn't boot up, stuck in loading software then reboots again and again. Flashed it with the cure FW then ran the recently made RGN file again.

    Did I do it wrong?

If you save as .gcd so you need to override the same swv both boot&fw_all or Nuvi will get rebooting loop.
If you use gupdate.gcd , you should put this file in Sd card\garmin.
If you still get rebooting so you don't need to make a cure firmware, just reflash with original firmware or worked rgn so Nuvi will start normally again.

Had a hard time before on reflashing firmware, the Nuvi won't get into preboot mode..

Anyway, what should I do, copy back the old GUPDATE.gcd? Don't have SD card yet.

    Thanks for the reply.

If I just override the SWV of boot.bin and fw_all.bin, what version should I use? 540 (US boot.bin) or 220(PH fw_all.bin)? Then after, save it as GCD (filename GUPDATE.gcd) move it back to .System folder or buy a new SD Card for storage of gcd file?

You can override to 540 or 220.
You can create new folder ie Nuvi\MyFiles\... to store your gcd or rgn file.

Already bought a 1gb sdcard. Placed the gcupdate.gcd at the main directory of sd card, but nothing happened at the nuvi. No software loading at startup, still no predictive text on searching, etc.

Just curious, what will happen to the unit if theres no gcd/rgn file on the directory?

To update gcd file from sd card , you must put in SD Card\GARMIN\gupdate.gcd
No effect if you don't have gupdate.gcd within .system folder.

So youre saying that it will be fine if I dont't return back the gcupdate.gcd file?Maybe i'll just leave it that way.

Thank you very much for your help!
