    Or use Webupdater. Put its icon on Desktop, drag and drop the .gcd file in it with nuvi attached USB then flash it

    No, HWID (Hardware Identification Number) value is displayed in the Inventory page and in GarminDevices.xml.

    Open the GarminDevice.xml file in your Nuvi Garmin folder using any Internet browser.
    Find these text - usually at the start of the listing.

    <Model>
    <PartNumber>006-B0932-00</PartNumber>
    <SoftwareVersion>260</SoftwareVersion>
    <Description>nüvi 205W</Description>
    </Model>

    The B0932 number listed at the PartNumber is the HWID, in this case it is 0932 for the Taiwan Nuvi 205W.

    Thanks...

    ...my problem is, that I've upgraded faulty nuvi 3490 for new 3590 and I've no xml file in my C:\Garmin directory since I use programs, what I've installed for my old nuvi (I've only replaced UnlockCodes.ucx so far.)

    So I wonder, which program installation will generate this xml file?
    MapSource, USBdriver, CommunicatorPlugin?

    I don't want to try manually since MapSource is patched already, so...
