Ok Loly, I also had problems with GTMxx receptors, but were localized problems, some of software (reinstalled fw) other hardware, however this happens with everything that is produced in series. The question is whether these problems are widespread and, mainly, the cause of the problem. For example, for all devices I have tested and all references in the forums of my country, I can safely say that the signatures of JetMouse in GTMs 26, 36 and 60 when coupled with the new operating system of Garmin (24x5, 25x5, 3400 , 3500) do not work and that the GTM 25 and 35 work with these gps (in my country, vital details). I ask you or other friends: the JetMouse signature in GTM 26, 36, 60 with 24x5, 25x5, 3400, 3500 are operating in their countries? If yes, please, post a screenshot of “GTM Info” and “FM Traffic Status”. With them we can assess whether the tuning parameters transmitted by FM-RDS-TMC are 3 or 4 and so we can justify or not the issue of the importance of ecc.
Loly, when you say "I try this on nuvi 1490 with original subscription ad and then jetmous subscription. On 1490 work only GTM 25 and 35, but 26 and 36 wont work".. well, when adding a JetMouse signature being in the same place of the original signature, Jetmouse overwrites on it, by having the same or similar parameter, try it if you want to risk... The problem may have been around. It would be ideal if you publish the screens this case..
In my country the 1300 and 1400 work perfectly with GTM25/35 receivers and also with 26 and 36 with JetMouse signature. The Garmin Traffic here was launched just over a year and officially only available in GPS with GTM26, but now also with GTM36. In the United States and South America all the new models of gps Garmin are coming with GTM26, 36 or 60, nor the refurbisheds comes with GTM 25 or 35. Surely these last should be overstock from Garmin or remain in these markets for some compatibility issue with the millions of existing old models of Garmin GPS. The entire range of FM-receiver RDS-TMC Garmin's work in the United States (GTM 10, 11, 20, 21, 25, 26, 35, 36, 60) but in my country, only GTM 25 and above works. Interesting, no? Surely it has to do with the tuning parameters transmitted by radios with TMC and necessary assimilation of GPS and receiver gtm firmware’s, and the concern of Garmin to avoid piracy signatures in new markets, something more difficult on vulnerable system of the older markets, as United States.
The problem we face, I repeat, is whether and why the signatures of Jetmouse, universally, work or no in new Firmware and GTMs (24x5, 3400 with GTM 26, 36..). I am very curious to know if it works in other countries...
@roger1109, in all GTM25 I've ever seen, and there were many, coming mostly from the United States, the signing was Navteq. The differences between the GTM25/35/26 and 36 are logical and physical. The logical most likely has more to do with new security features (to prevent piracy of signature). Overall, my tests did not show any difference in performance, but are physically different, internally and externally, already dismantled some .. I have some screens of gtm26 and 25 dismounted...The GTM25 came with a lifetime Clear Channel traffic (EX: TMC Infoblu) subscription and the GTM35 came with a lifetime ad supported Navteq traffic subscription.
That is why you get two different sets of traffic.
