With FREE lifetime traffic information updates, nüvi 140T allows you to avoid delays. Are controlled traffic conditions in order to recalculate routes in case of traffic jams and arrive on time.
It's RDS traffic in Italy I think, at least , at the end of the page,it gives a link to RDS traffic coverage area. (In the US lol)

Nuvi 40&50 in German is Nuvi 140T&150T (Traffic!!!)+ Nuvi 40/50 to 42/52 tests
In German the new modification of Nuvi 40&50 appeared on the market- Nuvi 140T&150T! At first sight it are analog of Nuvi 40&50 but with LIVE traffic (not RDS-TMC FM)!

the 140T and 150T have a built-in TMC traffic receiver and are not dependent upon one integrated into the power cable.
Basically, these appear to be nuvi 40 and nuvi 50 models with lifetime traffic. This would complete the 2012 Essential series lineup with base nuvi 40 and 50 models, the 40LM and 50LM with lifetime map updates and the 140T and 150T with lifetime traffic. Of course if you want lifetime maps AND traffic in the 2012 line, you’ll have to move up to Advanced series models like the 2455LMT or 2555LMT.Last edited by rosanna; 29th October 2012 at 05:36 PM.

So if it is the same RDS-TMC FM system used in the GTM fm receivers it may still be possible to flash 40/50 with 140/150 fw to use an external receiver? When you buy new Nuvi there is no GUPDATE.GDC inside. (I speak for 3490 LMT South-Africa Model )
Need to wait for Firmware Upgrade for this 140/150 model to get GUPDATE.GCDThe difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.
