Caty is right I have Nuvi 765 and I just tried to flash rgn file.
Execute updater.exe and drop on it an appropriate rgn file. Select USB device on it. After that all the time you must see program on PC.
1.Turn off your Nuvi and disconnect USB cable from Nuvi (USB cable still connected to PC)
2. Hold your finger ANYWHERE on screen.
3. Slide power ON and then immediately to LOCK position
4. Then still holding finger on screen connect USB cable. For this you have 30 seconds.
5. In program updater.exe for a short time your device UnitID appears in field near USB cable selection. Quickly press OK
6. Release finger from screen and wait until updater uploads rgn file.
Hello guys,
Thanks for the effort, but my garmin is somewhat special (stubborn in its own way),cause it does not respond to the commands like the other ones 765T's do.
Called the Garmin call center, and they explained to me that I should literally hold it "anywhere on the screen" and do the part when I turn it on, lock it and put the usb in the device, all in quick succession. No results again.
Still i didn't give up and came up with the method that actually worked!
Held the finger above the letters RM while the device was off, locked it and put the usb cord in.
That was it.
Did the garmincure3 again on "original",and restored the garmin folder.
Can you help me restore the other folders like audible,POI,reports, and all the other important stuff?
Couldn't of gotten it this far without You!
Thanks a 1.000.000,00

files from post 22 on Zippy
You get all you need to make your nuvi work.
You can add POIs from your country then.
That you mean the empty by the word? In archive I submitted all files, except for routing maps which are on my nuvi 715.
P.S.: HWID=0870.
