Default Next serious problem in Kenwood DNX7240BT (navi part)

    Hi guys.

After almost 3 years of trouble-free operation, my Kenwood again broke down. One day, when I wanted to turn on the navigation, it showed only a black screen. The problem seems serious because after searching the internet I not found any solution. Most suggest dispatch to Kenwood, or purchase a new station.
I have nothing to lose, so decided to fix unit. I have appropriate facilities for the repair of electronics, and I hope that with your help we fix the unit.

We also have now a similar topic in a forum:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

So it is my Garmin navi board:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    SRC+ATT+RESET and press INFORMATION buton:

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

What have I done so far?

    - Update navi board from the CD - failed,
    - no reaction for Updater,
    - I have wires on the outside of the unit as the topic:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Attempt to enter the pre-boot by shorting wires – no result.
PC completely doesn't see the unit via USB.
I know that the last way is programming iNAND out of navi board. BGA is not a problem for me, but I have no programmer. It is so expensive.
    Important question;
Is the navi board from other Kenwood unit will be fit? Of course the same connectors in the same places.

    Thanks for any help;-)

You have installed the USB drivers for Garmin?
Please uninstall the antivirus, if you have antivirus installed, then install the Garmin USB drivers and then reboot the PC.

Those software for this Thread: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] are only for DNX9260BT and DNX7260BT they can not be used to DNX7240BT.

You are here software used only for DNX7240BT :

You can connect only the GPS module to USB port in Pre Boot mode, without the mount gps module back in the unit Kenwood for recovery.

    Hi.
    @ORAK

You have installed the USB drivers for Garmin?
Yes, I installed correct drivers, but I have to try uninstall antivirus.

Those software for this Thread: kenwood dnx9260bt mass storage deleted are only for DNX9260BT and DNX7260BT they can not be used to DNX7240BT.
I know that it's different soft, I have prepared my own, but thanks for links. I will try with Your too.

You can connect only the GPS module to USB port in Pre Boot mode, without the mount gps module back in the unit Kenwood for recovery.
Good point. I didn't know that. Much more comfortable;-)
Really thank You for help. I will try afternoon and I'll let you know, now I'm in work;-)

    EDIT

OK, I did everything as You told. Unfortunatly, still no progress. PC doesn't see the garmin navi. (Now I trying navi out of unit) I can attach navi to USB port with or without short wires and completely no reaction in PC (laptop)
I afraid it is time to start search broken kenwood with good navi on the ebay;-(
Not good news, have You got any ideas?

So, i did the same on other laptop. Laptop still doesn't see the Navi board. Two ways - corrupted flash or electronic problem on board. Unfortunately i can't find circuit scheme the navi board in the net. Maybe someone have similar?

In the meantime i start compare circuit diagrams other units with my. For this moment i see the navi board from 7220 doesn't fit to 7240. Different connectors to main unit board.
    I'll go to tamper;-)
