Hi everyone. I got this device, garmin approach g3 for golf purposes, unfortunately there's no golf in Russia so the gadget is pretty useless. However, dakota 10 is built on the same motherboard so I though it would be possible to turn it into dakota 10 and put it to good use.
I took gcd-s from both devices, took it apart getting fw_all.bin, boot.bin, took a HWID from dakota and made a new fimrware for dakota recombining all these three variables, but it wouldn't work in any combination - the device after flashing wouldnt start. Thank god it can be rerstored to its orginal state with the original firmware.
Do you think there is some other way I've not tried to still get Dakota out of Approach.
PS there's no sd so fiddling with regions using sd-card is impossible.
