where can I get the JCV file? How about the SLI now? I just tried the GPS in local street, but not on freeway.
ok, you've updated your fw to v6.20, & successfully flashed the modded splash. You may have to add the JCV file separately if it hasn't been downloaded by GE after the splash is done property. In unit, it goes in the hidden root folder [.system] in a sub-folder named JCV. In microSD the JCV folder goes in a root folder named Garmin which you may need to create.

JCV files are usually available in the map threads. Check which map you have loaded as the jcv files are unique to each version. Tools>Settings>Map>Info will show your version.
As i said, the SLI info is in the map. It will show on-screen if you are on a road which has the info in the map. And that's just about all roads in a CN.

Can i flash my Garmin nuvi 1250 using this method? this device bought from Malaysia.
This modified splash is for US/EU devices only. Check if you have HWID of 0971 or 1106, if you have then it's a US/EU model, from Post #1:
You can also check in the GarminDevice.xml file located in the Garmin folder of the unit. Look for this near the start of the file:How to check which chipset I have? Enter diagnostic menu by pressing battery icon for 5 seconds, press "next", then "start test" and "more". The first 3 entries show which chipset you have:
-regular chipsets in Europe and US: B0971 (for 12xx series) and B0972 (for 13xx/14xx series).
-MTK chipsets: B1104 (for 13xx/14xx series) and B1106 (for 12xx series).
<Model><PartNumber>006-B0971-00</PartNumber>
or

my one is B1193, so no way to enable the features?
Probably not, unless you want to buy Loly a LOT of beer!
[Loly = lolypop000 of course].
EDIT: Loly doesn't want the beer, drink it yourself or sent it to me. Better still, hit his 'Donate' button and send him some Euros to buy his own [I'm serious, everyone who gets the benefit of Loly's able helping hand here and elsewhere should toss in a couple of bucks to thank him and encourage his further work. The amount of work he has to do behind the scenes is not reflected by his brief, quiet and efficient posts visible here].

No, don't load V6.20 'coz that is US/EU firmware. For SG/MY device HWID 1193 the latest is V2.80 which you have. Info:
However, I'm now a little curious because when i was checking the Garmin SG website for the latest fw version, i see on the specs tab it's features include:Code:Please Login or Register to see the links
Speaks street names (e.g. "Turn right ON ELM STREET in 500 m."): yes
Lane info (guides you to the proper lane for navigation): yes (with junction view)
Speed limit indicator (displays speed limit for most major roads in the U.S. and Europe): yes
Your SG/MY 1250 seems to already have JCV, LA, TTS & SLI as standard features. What were you hoping to enable, or did you want to convert your unit to US/EU? If so, this should be possible as the PCB PNs in your SG/MY fw matches the US/EU ones, 105-01432, 105-01554 & 105-01617.Code:Please Login or Register to see the links
You unit will handle a microSD card up to 32 Gib without problem. Just don't exceed a 4 GiB image size.
