Default One for the GPS techies out there !!

    Hi guys

I was playing around with a GPS blocker today.

To test it I used a android phone with a GPS satellite checker.

As soon as i plugged in the blocker I could see all the satellites start disappearing and they they al came back when j unplugged it.

So I thought it was working very well.

But then I opened my maps app and it immediately found my location. I then opened the Pokemon go game and again it immediately found my location. The same thing happened on Apple devices.

I even tried turning off wifi...etc and turning the devices off while I changed my location.

So my question is, how can these apps find my location if the device can't connect to any GPS satellites?

Looks like you haven't watched enough spy movies
Joke on the side. Even if you do not know the technique at all, it should be clear to you that your cellphone is not receiving a signal from the air.
In short: It receives from the base station knows exactly where the location is. The mobile phone simultaneously receives and sends a signal.
At any one time it is "covered" by several signals, so that its location can be determined by exact calculations.
Before asking a question, know it's already discussed here and at 99.9% is not unique. Use search.

    Spoiler: obs
Many questions become very arduous, a lot of time chewed deja vu...Since we have lost all the year of work and effort, many people have no will to answer the same questions again. Me neither. Use a search, please.

try to close all programs, then turn of the WI-FI. When you open the programs (google maps or Pokemon Go) you will see a large blue circle around your location. Also your location on the map would be significantly wrong. In this mode you get LBS signals, which is not accurate. If you go down to your basement it will be even more off.
