Default is Garmin still king of the hill for hunters/outdoors ?

Hi. I started using gps with the Garmin cs60, I later upgraded ( imo not the best move I did...) to the 62...

I still find my 62 is sometimes having problem locking to the satellites, and sometimes loosing reception...

is there now another make/model that I could look at for a replacement ? something with a better reception .... it would need to be able to use free maps also

    thanks for your help.

    stef, Montreal.

    Hi.
If you don't mind to using your Android smartphone to navigare, try out "Locus map" navigation app. You can use free or paid version.
Free maps based on OSM are available on Internet.
I use it for hiking and geocaching navigation. It is great and always with me [if I don't forget my phone somewhere :-) ].
