They use their own custom (adapted) software.
The system is not similar but is completely based on iGO. The content (maps) is absolutely identical, of course.
The update procedure is not as simple as you thinkUnit (software) must be p*tched. Search in the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] section. Or even better on specialized Forums.

Can anyone please tell me what a .sgn file is? Thanks.
Trying to update my MAZDA US gps files and found it's similar to igo system. The map fold includes .fbl, .fbl.sgn, .fpa, .fpa.sgn, .fsp and .fsp.sgn files for each state. Can anyone please tell me what the .sgn file is? Normally we don't have these files in our igo map fold. Thanks.

Navigation systems in cars usually get maps 6 months late (most often longer than that).
