    Default Subaru in-car navi iGO primo

    I think that I miss something and hope someone can tell me more.

    -I have a unbranded in-car navi in my Subaru
    -software is iGO primo navigation by NNG 2015-04
    -maps are 'HERE 2013.Q3 Europe' on a microSD card

    In short: the audio/navi unit is working and route [re]calculation is fast,
    but the maps are out-of-date and missing roads in my area.

    What have I done:
    -Asked the dealer for updates -> no updates
    -PC tool from naviextras.com -> no updates
    does not recognise sd card!
    -HDDrawcopy original to another microSD -> not working
    error message something like: 'can't read SD, contact your dealer'
    This probably means the license is fixed to the microSD card
    -downloaded the HERE 2015.Q2 maps and replaced:
    all files in iGO\content\map
    all files in iGO\content\poi
    all files in iGO\content\phoneme
    complete pack of all license files in iGO\license
    -> not working
    -same for TomTom 2016.06 maps
    -> not working
    -the original software is a 'lite' version iGO primo
    no Junction view files
    no 3D files
    no speedcam files
    -I think the license file '[email protected]' means:
    FTEN=Fujistu Ten, probably the unit manufacturer
    14CY=?
    EU=Europe
    SUB=Subaru [a fuji heavy industries company]
    13Q3=HERE 2013Q3 maps

    Q1: Do I need to replace or delete any other file in
    global_cfg, lang, voice, vr, vr_vde or the root file device.nng
    to make the map updates work?

    Q2: Does anybody know if a microSD from another car brand, like Toyota,
    will work in a device like mine? I have not found anyone with another iGO microSD yet.

    Q3: Does anybody know if I can get the Junction view and 3D files from
    'HERE 2013.Q3 Europe' and make them work on the orignal microSD?

    I know nothing about your incar navi, so I can only speak on a theoretical basis. Obviously your iGO software is not cracked, so it won't run with content not licensed and your SD card seems to have hardware protection too.

    2 options:

    1. ignore what dealer and PC update says, and buy the 2014/2015 update
    Code:
    Please Login or Register to see the links
    2. find a way to install & run an alternative version of iGO. Is it Android or WinCE or another OS?

    Thanks!

    That is the point I missed: you all run cracked software. I'm only used to Garmin where you crack the maps and use it on original software.
    Have to look into this a little deeper

    Are the executable files on the card? Or separate files on the unit? If you can access that probably will run any version of primo.

    I found that torrent for 2013QX for subaru USA and as far as I could tell it was just the winCE version with everything on the card. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    device.nng
    Igo is supposed to recreate this file when you add licenses, at least on win/android. It contains device ID/card IDs and would be why your SD card doesn't work even when raw copied.

    for your safety back up document on sdcard to PC
    then you need change other exe file that already cracked

    open igo folder will see exe file such as igo.exe (may be primo.exe or navigator.exe ........ )
    change it by crack file and the same name

    You are posting at wrong forum, sorry.
    First, you need to know the exact model of device. If there is no mark outside of the unit, or some identification in the software, detach it from the board and look at the label.
    After that, you can ask for help.
    From your story, I'd say it's factory system. The problem is that they usually access through specialized ports, or via firmware upgrade from SD card. So, you probably need fully cracked firmware, or a way to put cracked exe in it.
    If it does not exist...you know solutions.
    Until than, I do not know where you live, but maps from the end of 2013 are still useable. A a pair of missing roads are not a problem, drive and use your eyes and brain
    =====================================
    You can never get a fresh factory maps in a new car.
    The reason of course is simple: you are now projecting the car and its components (GPS too). Making contracts with suppliers. Pass some time before production starts, while all this goes on sale ... pass at least one year (optimistic), or more (2, 3...).
    The real problem actually lies in the fact that from the start not foreseen the possibility of later upgrades.
    Okay, back to your navigation. Version 9.12.14.429784 suggests to me that it is some version of NextGen (!!?). Pioneer version is 9.8.13.411863, so this is probably a very dedicated software. Good luck with search, but very little chance that something so fresh and rarely represented, could be found in crack*d version. After a few years, maybe ...
    Will the Toyota's card work in Subaru or vice versa? I doubt it.

    Hi, make first the backup of original sd-card, then paste the new data.
    The old (poi) and phoneme (ph) can be completely replaced with new data.
    The old map (fbl) must be renamed for example as "xxx_old.fbl" (Not delete this fbl) and then new map simply placed in the same map folder.
    Ready, that's it.
    Put the sd card in navigation...this will complain about "not accepted" after that press ok.
    So, the new map on the card now works.
    Best regards.

    I have Car is equipped with FujitsuTen unit with IGO software version 9.12.45.517526 Apr 8 2015

    Maps are stored on SD card in *.fbl *.fda formats. There is also some license file in *.lyc format and there is no exe file on the card.

    I was wandering if solution provided by octagon could work for me?

    You can always try. If it's not working rename the old files back I think ?
