Do you have a link to the actual unit that you purchased? Didn't it come with any navigation software/maps?
If the navigation app and maps are stored on an external GPS SD card, it's actually pretty easy to use whatever GPS application that you want.
Personally, I'd recommend iGo Primo 2.4. You'll need to download the application and the appropriate "content" files (maps, pois, voices, TTS files, .dem files, etc). There are some helpful "how to" posts on the forum somewhere that should get you started. Then you can post any specific questions you may have from there.
Typically, the application (Primo 2.4) and the maps are downloaded separately - because everyone has different needs in terms of which maps they need, etc.
Like I said, please post a link to the exact unit you purchased and then start reading the "how to" posts for iGo. It takes some time to get a full grasp on how the files are laid out, etc, but we're here to help along the way!
