Becker Traffic 43 Assist

Hi guys,

I swear i have been reading forum here and there to get some answer but yet not luck.

This navigation has maps from 2010 with truck support I believe ( my dad uses it ) . What should i do to get them updated ? Should i first install some new igo version and then maps ? or may i download some maps with relevant licence and just put in content/map direcotry ( I have tried but it stays inactive despite the fact that i used the licence from that package/torrent ) ?

Maybe you could find some answers about procedure.
It would best if you share original EXE file, not only part of HEX dump.
Then it could be decided if only EXE could be replaced or complete new installation is needed.

thanks for your reply. Here is sys.txt, data.zip as well as the exe file that i found on my navi.

I have read that thread already but i am going to do so once again. Maybe i missed something.

Your system is 480x272 from year 2011 designed specially for Becker.
I searched my archive, but I only have newer "modified" EXE versions that are for larger resolutions, and few older, none of those would fit on your system.

Please be patient, problem will probably be solved.

Hi,

thanks a lot for your time and work.

I went trough that thread you mentioned once again and i installed: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Then i had to copy global.cfg from original sofware on that navigation ( i tried and it helped it seems ).
Then i add some map to test with relevant licence and it works.
Well, it works but cursor is missing but i will solve that too.

So far it looks just great to be honest. Once all good from my side and confirmed by my dad I will post here complete steps to replicate in order to have it updated.

Always use latest global_cfg from here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
It is not depending on software version, but it has latest "global" info about countries, so speed and other limitations will be up to date as much as possible.
And just for testing, try it with original sys.txt.

Thanks for the advice. I was not really aware of what the content of that file is. It was just my try to get it working.
