iGO Primo v.1.1 (8.5.11.168090) WinCE
Spoiler: Link
Hello,
Currently I'm trying to install Primo on an older Navigon device (21MAX). I unlocked the device and iGo 8 is running fine. Tried Primo 2.0, on launch the device black screens and reboots. I need something older like Primo 1.1 8.5.11 (res: 480x272) to try and run. Every download i found is dead. If this is imposible, please provide me with a iGo 8 version with enabled truck options.

iGO Primo v.1.1 (8.5.11.168090) WinCE

Do you have a question, write PM
On my 366MHz 64MB Prestigio, "Kia" edition works perfect
That Navigon has 400MHz cpu
So I suspect the problem is with the your primo package or driver setup in sys
P.S.
I still have in my archive
- 8.5.9, 8.5.11 four editions, 9.2.0 two editions, 9.2.1 also two editions, 9.2.4 and 9.6.2
If anyone needs some of them, write request
I can't find a thread that already existed
i don't know what is up with this thing. Reboots every time i try to launch Primo. Thanks to navigator for providing the pack, but it is not working on this hunk of junk. Tried "Kia" edition, didn't work as well.
Spoiler: Here is the crash log:
I'm suspecting is something to do with the little amount of usable memory.
Anyway, Boki if you can, please provide your archive. It could be useful.
Well
Are you sure that you unlocked the device properly or set the paths correctly?WinCE CallStack snapshot (function names unknown - map file \storage card\NAVIGON\navigon.map not found
What tool/shell did you use?
However, as far as I could see, all those older models ran igo 8 exclusively
It certainly doesn't cost anything to try Primo 1.2, this version worked on HP PDAs if I remember correctly:
Spoiler: screenshots
Spoiler: download
This is the minimum package, data.zip only for 480x272 resolution,
Add latest globalcfg, at least one map and possibly a different language
There is a .ini file with the nav exe path line. I modified that.

Spoiler: Here is a download if someone needs to unlock a similar device just put the files in the root of the SD:
Tried to launch directrly with editing the path, with TotalCMD, explorer, SimpleShell all failed. Only iGo 8 works.
Primo 1.2 launched but it didn't go past the language selection menu. It didn't even produce a crash log.

Did you consider trying another SD? Or you can try to run Primo from the internal flash, with only 1 map for the starter and see how it behaves.
Not so long ago I had a headache with one older device where I put Primo on an SD but and device couldn't even start (boot loop). When I removed SD it booted normally. I then used another SD and it was OK...worth looking also in that direction if I were you.
It's not that I'm so smart, it's just that I stay with problems longer. (Albert Einstein)
Well, actually Primo is designed to work from SD, but who knows, maybe device is not. So try internal.
In that case, you don't even have to change the path, just rename the Primo folder to Navigon, and Primo.exe to navigon.exe. Of course, backup the original software
@Gjon
Which lang you tried? From package or some other? If other, first try this from package only. Delete device.nng.
Also, add this lines in sys :
[interface]
skin="ui_igo9"
vga=0
mapfontscale=100
show_exit=1
[rawdisplay]
class="landscape"
highres=0
screen_x=480
screen_y=272
Maybe try this below in sys.txt also.
Without that in sys.txt I cannot successfully run i3 Primo (Build version: 9.6.5.245577) on a 64mb RAM Navig8r device.
[debug]
cache="1048576"
max_memory=67108864
reserve_memory=2097152
EDIT: forgot to mention, each time you try something different make sure you delete any save folder that might be there, I think it gets created when starting up before you even see the language prompt.

Do big things!
1. Internal flash is not an option because the device only has around 30MB of internal storage filled to the brim with some Navigon demo videos or whatnot.
2 Tried different SD, but still nope.
3. Tried the sys lines that you all provided me, didn't work.
Thanks for all the help, if there is something you can suggest, please do so, I ran out of ideas honestly. Only solution I see as of now is putting iGo 8 and calling it done.
