Hello, I unzipped Vector Magic Portable v1.15 on local disk c with 7-Zip, and I get Vector Magic.exe, I run it and skip the warning "the specified path is not valid"

the cause may be that I use Win10x64 ....?

It means that I have placed the entire content of the archive (complete folder) on a C drive.

Anyeway, I tested it, not working under Win 10, not even under any compatibility mode

Spoiler: how to

Run portable version, then close error windows. Take file vmde.exe located in
\\Vector Magic Portable v1.15\Data\Vector Magic\local\modified\@PROGRAMFILESX86@\Vector Magic\vmde.exe
Just put it in some folder, and you can remove other content.
Now install official version, then replace original vmde.exe with those one taken from portable
