    Default iGO NextGen disable camera poi

    Hi guys, when I click anywhere on the map and go to "POI around coursor" or go to "search everything" in the menu it shows photos taken by camera as POIs. Does anyone know how to disable it? Tried adding ; in front of these two lines in sys.txt

    ;picturepoi_scan="/storage/emulated/0/DCIM/Camera"
    ;picturepoi_folder="/storage/emulated/0/DCIM/Camera"

    But it didn't solve problem. Help please, it is so annoying to view all image geo locations when searching for real POIs.

    AFAIK:
    insert .nomedia-File in DCIM\Camera\

    in SYS.txt:
    [poi]
    ;
    picturepoi_show_all_containers=0
    picturepoi_has_mypicturepoi=0

    and is still in my Memory:
    [oasis]
    exclude_directories="PICTURE::%STORAGE%/DCIM/"

    ???????? HTH

    Added those new two lines in sys.txt, but there is no result. Adding .nomedia file in camera directory will result with pictures not showing in other apps like viber, whatsapp and even in gallery app... Any other solution?

    sorry, I don't have this Problem because I move my Photo to another Folder on SdCard in short periods
    In iGO I have an extra Folder on SdCard for special Camper pictures, the white iGO

    and SYS.txt
    [poi]
    picturepoi_has_mypicturepoi=1
    picturepoi_folder="/storage/Card-Name/my_Camper-jpg"
    picturepoi_scan="/storage/Card-Name/my_Camper-jpg"

    .JPG (own images) must contain the date (EXIF data) in order to be recognized by iGO. In order to have this displayed as a placeholder (iGO POI icon) on the map, the GPS data must also be included in the image. Also that you can use route -> to picture.

    ** In general, with Nextgen, the use and options have not received much attention from Skiner.
    With the Windows app GeoSeter you can add a lot of information to a JPG via EXIF, but it is not supported by any navigation app.

    *** Conclusion: pictures of e.g. Radar systems can only be used under iGO as a "route to image position", but only if the image contains GPS data

    Activating Speedcam yourself and displaying them as an icon on the map is another topic......

    For photos taken via cell phone another option is to try to include the lines below in the sys.txt file:
    If any user wants to inhibit the images just put the signal ; at the beginning of the line.

    Spoiler: show
    Code:

    this entry is superfluous because iGO searches this folder (primary Root\DCIM\Camera\ for images with EXIF data each time it is started.
    That's why the recommendation; Insert POI images in an extra folder and specify this extra folder in the SYS.txt, to force the search explicitly to only your own folder

    *** In addition, pictures are only found in it if the GPS location (optional digicam setting) is switched on while taking the picture

    Sorry but on my equipment with Pongo/Nextgen it works exactly as I indicated.
    I take a photo with my cell phone of a place I want to save as a favorite, it is stored in the folder indicated on the path and when I want to use the Picture option to choose the image related to the Poi and the route is created.
    If there is no entry in sys.txt it is not possible to perform this operation.
    Or there is another option that I don't know about.

    sorry, we'll write to each other
    **once again:
    even without an entry in SYS.txt, Android iGO default searches DCIM\Camera\

    If someone has activated the option "Enter GPS data in the picture", every picture will be geocoded, including the snapshot of grandma iGO will manage the grandma as a picture-POI

    That's why the entry in the SYS.txt e.g. :
    [poi]
    picturepoi_has_mypicturepoi = 1
    picturepoi_folder = "/storage/SdCardname/my_POI-Pictures"
    picturepoi_scan = "/storage/SdCardname/my_POI-Pictures"

    accordingly then the POI-photos in this self-created folder on SdCard

    clear ?
