I can put multiple skin files in the ux folder in nextgen but i cant see the names of the skins when i look in settings skin options. All i see is bright and dark but no name. Anyone know how to get around this?

I believe you have to manually remove/copy appropriate files for a skin to work. There is no mechanism to "switch" skin, other than using a skin changer (which does the remove/copy appropriate files for you)
