UX Nextgen - Save the cat - (kind request)

Hi everybody !

I am writing to all you masters of lua, hoping that maybe you could help me (and maybe other forum members) seeking a functionality in igo nextgen that may literally save lives.

I live in a big and crowdy city, where often happen that small cats wondering around, seek for shelter inside cars engine area, entering from below (especially if the car has some shield problem or other access holes).

Since I am also the proud (I was about to say owner

) slave of a cat who even got caught in another car (cannot stop him from going to cat disco each night

) I try to always check my engine compartment and other possible danger spots (like wheels) for cats or other small animals, before starting the car but I must say that sometimes, in a hurry I forget,and I feel quite bad

.
So I wanted to ask you if maybe is not possible to create such UX that would forbid me any operation on igo unless I "mark the car safe for cats", therefore forcing me to check the car. Of course I guess it would be useful also for other kind of smal animals in different scenario.

Hmm, you probably can create a popup warning when you start proggy (splash screen?), but disabled all functions?
A useful function that could save children (and pet) lives during the summer is the warning to check when you exit proggy as provided by Gift. Even if one life is save, it's a worthy function.

Yes, something like a splash screen blocking igo operation and some input from the user to confirm 'the cat is safe'. The other functionality about children is at the end of route, this one with the cat should be at initialization

You can add to this message - very important command:
"Make sure you close the door to your apartment, switch off the stove, washing machine and other household items,
and lock your 'Mother-in-law' in the room??!"

/Mother-in-law - very fond of maneuvering around the apartment in search of ...... beer/
