G-ulash> Setting the SD card as internal storage has a lot of disadvantages. I wouldn't recommend to do it.
I followed the guide for iGo Avicsync. I copied everything to my internal memory and the Content folder to the external SD card. I also modified the sys.txt according to my directories. Now if I start iGo, I don't get any error but only a black screen. What could it mean?
THANX @mojso
This rearrangement of folders is working on marshmallow with no problems.I just place a name of my SD card in sys text line you provided
Yours
has_secondary_root=1
android_secondary_root_path = "/storage/extSdCard/addons"

android_secondary_root_path = "/storage/884B-7750/addons"

I have Lenovo Tab3 7 Essential with Android 5.0.1. I am installing iGO Primo nextgen ver. 9.18.27.689739 and I cannot link to the external memory for the content. I would put it in the internal memory but the newest maps and the whole content is up to 10GB.
Can someone help me how to do it. I have tried the above mentioned but it is not working.
Read post two before yours. And thread from beginning.
GJA utilities allow to write on external card ( even if there is no right to write on external card ) into folder :
Android/data/com.gja.nav.utility/files/...
So, I have iGO folder on internal and .fbl into
Android/data/com.gja.nav.utility/files/iGO_content/content/map ( + 3 x map ).
Added in sys.txt :
[folders]
has_secondary_root=1
android_secondary_root_path="/storage/9C33-6BBD/Android/data/com.gja.nav.utility/files/iGO_content"
In MapChanger the path is : /storage/9C33-6BBD/Android/data/com.gja.nav.utility/files/iGO_content
Worked for me using the exact name of my storage card, just like yours... So basically is adjust the lines in to
has_secondary_root=1
android_secondary_root_path = "/storage/your_exact_card_name/addons"
The name of my sdcard I found with 'Storage Analizer' app
Create in the sd card root the folder addons/content/map and put the map files inside.
