It's not dead. Unlock doesn't affect device itself because no modified files are are copied on a flash disk. It must connect to your PC (even if your device is fully formatted) but make sure that the battery is not completely drained. Also try to plug it in to a different USB port.

..and this is how your SD with unlock folders should look like:

Got it, but unfortunately this device.xml doesn't look like original file taken from your mio. There are some important and unique information missing there..Well, it doesn't matter, you can try this unlock:

    1. Extract and copy all files to your Mio flash disk (delete everything from the flash disk first, leave only your device.xml file).
    2. Power OFF/ON device and device should boot into new menu. From there you can launch iGO Primo.

    fingers crossed

Thank you, but as explained previously i no longer have access to the flash disk of my mio, i tried other usb sockets but no recognition of the device in usb mode.
    I can't format it anymore.

As I said I'm quite sure that mio still can connect, but you must try harder. Plug it in USB and quickly do some power on/of cycles and you can get lucky and device will connect. If not, try another PC if you have the chance. If everything falls, than try with the file in the attachment. Extract and copy file iBoot.exe on the root of a SD card. Insert SD card and power off/on device. It's a total commander which can be triggered this way on some Mio devices but I'm not sure about this model though.

    Default Hello

I have spirit 7670lm (not truck) and seems it don t wanna start anymore. All links here are dead.
My gps remains on mio spirit screen and not go any further.
Have somwbody a backup for this device?
Also mio desktop does not detect the device.
Windows see this like mass storage.
    Thanks a lot.

As a last resort you can still modify it for hosting famous iGO Primo. It will continue to serve it's purpose, probably much better than with the original Mio navigation software.
