THXs scubadoo for your links but am a user of FULL Mosaic and the older format of separate map sheets just wastes map loading "ya think huh" so Sherm we needs a full up to date Topo of Oz huh or I shall keep using my 2005/2008 versions since there's not much change here in OZ hummm " still know where I am M8"

Well, I had a look at the few maps that have actually changed since 2006 (what is available for the official downloads anyway) and only if really need those newer maps it would be worth changing.
Most the maps are still based on 2001 data, if in doubt keep your old edition and only replace the newer maps, should be no more than 9 downloads unless I missed something.

Hey all yep I use Full Mosaic of OZ but I guess WA hasn't changed that much to worry about, but I am a person that looks at the map am using and If I follow a track that is in the middle of nowhere "meaning not shown where you are " am not worried because it's a new track and is heading in the direction I would like to go, and most times end within the 4mtr of my target of where I 'd like to be, if all the maps were perfect then there would be nowhere new to go, just my opinion.

Jeers to the mess up guys but I'm like Scubadoo and not a mosaic user.

Not my upload, so I'll make MapPirate walk the plank if I catch up but he's a quick little blighter!

I'll be running the fix on this for myself in post #9

Yes the .MAP files are faulty but a 5 minute bulk edit with EmEditor easily corrects those issues.
Accuracy??? - I have no idea but they look pretty good to me.
Test - enable a 10km Grid in OziExplorer - perfect alignment here.

Disclaimer - I have simply modified the .MAP files and merely tested a few of the 500+ maps. There are probably still errors???

Attached is my modified mapset file.

Edit: Link to original mapset - all credit to mapPirate and Schermann.

So scherm is it the file size of the full mozaic you don't like ?? coz @ 2.9GB is a large file, there is a mob out there that has converted it to OZF3 "for a few Dollars", but I went deep into Cyberspace and found the 2008 Full mozaic @ 707MB really works well on my PDA now. "limited to 2GB SD cards now don't have to change cards"

Any good quality map for AU can be converted by me, provided the format is usable for that.
Only thing I don't really like is downloading and re-uploading a few GB just to find out the hard work was only so a hand full of people actually download it.
And no I don't make any profit from downloads, it is simply the many hours of work for converting and testing if there is no real interest for the finnished product.
I had several request over the years, including maps that are only available on paper.

OK Downunder I understand but I use to use single Maps but it was a pain when traveling in the West coz would see lots of white on the map edges till it changed maps, it of cause would happen when your GPS is pointing directly left/right and you found a track so a full mosaic was a god send and even if the track wasn't there on the PDA mosaic we followed the track in the direction the GPS said WAS THATA WAY and it got us there with less hassle.

Edit: tis nothing for us West OZies to travel 500-600km or me 800-900km a day depends what and where am going eh.
