V oice Audio alerts files for Garmin (mp3&WAV audio alerts)

Audio alerts files for Garmin (mp3&WAV audio alerts)

    custom poi prx alert map250

Download audio alerts for Garmin (mp3 audio alerts) if you want to add custom POI sounds to our extra POIs:

    MP3 sample voice alerts:
Traffic camera ahead - [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Speed camera ahead - [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Redlight camera ahead - [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
School zone ahead - [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    WAV sample voice alerts:
Traffic camera ahead - [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Speed camera ahead - [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Redlight camera ahead - [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
School zone ahead - [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

You may need a SOX if you want to use Garmin WAV files.

    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links

Above link may not work: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
A lighter sox file, cured to be compatible with all Win OS is in roger1109's post [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (credits to roger1109 and/or his 'friend').

Once unzipped and saved to your PC (should just be one file and you will need sox.exe version 14.0.1), drag it or copy it to your \Garmin folder (that should be where the POI Loader is installed).

load your POI's and the sox.exe will convert the .wav file properly. You will get a prompt to run sox.exe, click run.

If you want to have sound and symbol included in your POI file you would have one directory with three items in it. The first being the Garmin CSV file, the second being the BMP file and the third being the Garmin MP3 audio alert file.

They "all" have to have the same name:

    Speed_Trap.csv
    Speed_Trap.bmp and
    Speed_Trap.mp3

When using the POIUploader application, it merges the three items (data, image and audio files) together and uploads it to your device.

You can try it out .
Go to tools>settings>system and turn on GPS simulator.
Press and hold back for 2seconds (quickly gets you out to "Where to Map Menue"
Go to Where to>Extras>Custom POIs> Redlight Cameras.
    Click on one
Click map then zoom in and press on a road that intersects with the redlight camera "dot".
    Press "SetLoc" then press "GO!"
Press "yes" when asked if you'd like to simulate driving this route.
    Sit back and Listen

I have tried to combine sound & alert files using POILoader ages ago, and after multiple attempts gave up after failing to get it to work for PPC/WM based devices (I use 3 different model HTC's [p3300, p3700, HD2]). I recall reading somewhere that this only worked for PNA's.

    Hi all,

I've Nuvi 1310T, I merged those wav files with Sox.exe as Catymag mentioned and it works, but I can barely hear the sound alerts!

Is there is a way to raise the wav files volume or should I try the mp3s instead?

    Thanks in advance.
