    Garmin POI Loader


    POI Loader is free software for your computer that lets you upload customized points of interest (POIs) to your compatible Garmin device. With the help of POI Loader, you can update your compatible Garmin GPS with the latest restaurants, safety camera locations, tourist destinations and more.

    How Does POI Loader Work?
    Simply download and install POI Loader software on your computer and you're ready to find and load new POIs. You can find new POIs from both Garmin and third parties through our Custom POI Sources page. Once you've downloaded the POI files (GPX or CSV format), use POI Loader to find the files on your computer and upload the data to your compatible Garmin GPS or third-party SD card.

    Additional Features
    Proximity Alerts
    POI Loader allows you to configure proximity alerts — when you're within a certain distance of a POI or driving over a certain speed near a POI, your GPS will provide visual and audio alerts — perfect to warn you about upcoming school zones, red lights, and safety cameras.     THANX.... POI Loader for Windows, Ver. 2.5.4, as of Oct 08, 2009

    Fixed issue with handling commas in CSV files.
    Fixed issue with file paths including non-English characters.

    When loading Pois from scdb.info then Poi-Loader chooses distances to give alarm which are too far, especially in cities. Eg. when driving in a bigger city then you are is ALWAYS within of a distance of 500m from a radar set to 50km/h. So I load the Pois manually and choose only half of the proposed distance. But it is quite nasty to do that manually. Is it possible to change the proposed distances of Poi-Loader, eg. radar set to 70km/h, proposed distance for alarm is 700m, I want to change to 350m...
