    Arrow RE: TTS voice support in GMPC v5.00.70

    @bahama99

    Garmin Mobile PC v5.00.70 supports TTS. It uses the Windows native TTS engine and has nothing to do with Garmin TTS voices.
    By default there's only "Microsoft Anna - English (United States)" available in Windows Vista and Windows 7. Chinese Windows Vista & 7 versions also includes a Chinese TTS voice. Older Windows XP uses some other variants like "Microsoft Sam". Extra TTS languages has to be installed from 3rd part providers.

    Code:

    How it looks in Windows 7:

    ... and the corresponding TTS voice in GMPC:

    Hi all,
    I hope it wasn't explained in ither threads, search didn't help.
    Is there any way to use a non-garmin gps receiver with GMPC ? I need to conect a bspeech bluetooth gps receiver.

    My bad, no longer a problem (wrong unl file).

    New questions. Can I use cityxplorer and offroad (topo) maps with this? Where can I find those? Can I create a custom background raster map (satelite imagery, top). Any tutorial available?
