Hi, newby here.
Want to install mapsource 6.16.3 + patch.
I have already installed the mapsource version 6.16.3 which gives the "unauthenticated" problem.
Can I just replace the exe file from this version for the "patched" one ?
Thank you for a quick reponse, catymag!
a.) Files stored in this site (mirrorcreator.com) probably are all blocked by our ISP.
This is what I get when access to this site:
Unable to Resolve Domain Name
Please make sure:
- You have connected to internet.
- Your DNS server settings are correct.
b.) And thanks for explaining! With a patched Mapsource one can transfer the map (*.img) to a pc disk (the "Unauthenticated" issue remained the same), then unlock it with Fast IMG Unlocker, then copy it in your gps.

quoted from pietu's post n3 (please read posts-thanks)
Download the official one, then find&open Mapsource folder and replace the original exe with the patched one.
(you can rename the old one with someting like Mapsource nonpatched.exe) after that, create a shortcut to you desktop from the patched one, replacing the original.
You have to navigate to get to the good.
Galaxy S5 Kitkat 4.4.2 / Nuvi1200->1250 / Nuvi3790T->34xx / Nuvi 2200 / Nuvi 66 / Oregon 600
Worked like a charm for me. I had the mapsource 6.16.3 with Europe NT City navigator 2012.20. The "unauthenticated" was replaced with "unlocked" on my europe map. It's downloaded to my GPSMAP 62s and works fine.
why does it say Previous Map Source Not Found. Terminating Setup.
I tried as explained but it still shows "Map product not installed"
all links to the mapsource 6.16.3 special or the patched .exe are not working (megaupload , fileserve etc.) I did not download the original mapsource download link ( the garmin website one ) because if i can not have the patched version, i thought it would be useless. So if anyone could assist in finding the patched version via a link, i would appreciate. Thanks.
